We will stop at Fairways award-winning Garden Centre, Ashbourne for coffee en route to Tissington. Here you can pick up a sandwich for lunch if you wish. There is a very nice café at Tissington but it will be busy that day. A visit to Tissington is just like going back in time. With its six wells it is known as ‘the mother’ of well-dressing. The old church, the walks around the village, and the little shops are a joy to visit. Don’t miss the interesting little garden centre with its wild life running around. The plants and prices are excellent.
A Short Tour of the Peak District. To round off the day in this beautiful part of the world – with its spectacular scenery – we will take time to tour parts of the Peak District National Park stopping at a place of interest along the way. We will return over the tops passing the highest village in England as we go. This will give us a lovely circular tour of the area.
The total cost of the trip is £38.50 per person. This includes all coach travel and entry to Tissington. Please send a £15 non-refundable deposit per person when booking. The coach will leave Shrewsbury at approximately 9am and return about 6.30pm. The exact timings will be confirmed 7 days before travel.
